what are we doing this for?

the world's getting smaller
and so are our mindsets

we're enroute to something big
(or so they say)
we're gonna earn big bucks
(or so they say)
we're gonna live the life
(or so they say)

and when we're done,
our prime would've passed

but where's the money or the life that they say we'll get?

everyone has a degree
everyone is equally 'smart' (or smarter)
but with such a congested workforce,
what are we left with?
